Where do you find God?

Many of us in life are searching for a little peace and solitude. We are looking for a way to escape the chaos and put our problems on hold. Although our methods may be different, the truth is that we are all searching for something to take us away from reality even if for just a moment. Where is it that you go for peace? What is it that you turn to for joy? How do you find strength to make it another day? After answering these questions, we have to ask ourselves if the effect is temporary or lasting. Vacations come and go, relationships have ups and downs, highs only last for a moment until we come down and are faced with the same issues staring us in the face. Everything in this life has an expiration date on it. Where is it that we can truly find the answer that we are looking for? What can we connect ourselves to that will last forever? Jesus says in John 15:1 “I am the true vine”.

In that one sentence He lays it all out on the line. He is saying I am the only one that can give you what you are looking for. Just as a branch cannot bear fruit unless it is connected to the vine, neither can we unless we are connected to Him. Today I want to encourage you to connect yourself to the only one that can give you life, peace and fullness of Joy. His provision is not temporary, but last from this world into the world to come. In closing, I want to leave you some scriptures to meditate on. Ask yourself if you find the answers that you are looking for. Jesus is not a cosmic force that we obtain through a higher level of consciousness. He is not a concept. He is not a way, but the way. There is only one way to find God and that is through Jesus. He alone is God and He offers us the opportunity to abide in Him. His hand has been extended to us through His death burial and resurrection. All we have to do is believe in Him and accept Him as God in our life.

John 6:35

John 8:12

Then Jesus spoke to them again, saying, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”

John 10:9

I am the door. If anyone enters by Me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.

John 10:11

“I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd gives His life for the sheep.

John 11:25
