Position for Provision

Father, I stand in awe of Your glory and worship You through my obedience to Your mighty word.

I open my hands to accept full grace and mercy daily as my flesh fails me.

How do I receive power in Your name?

Why do I question purpose when I know Your love remains the same?

Blessing and favor are in arms reach.

I listen, I learn, I give, I teach.

I will not fear and I will not worry.

I say enemy flee and I watch him scurry.

I am available, willing, and able.

I am obedient and ready to receive it.

I am connected to Jesus and I believe it.

This is my final decision.

I am positioned for provision.

After service ends I hear my nephew come towards me with something he made in class this morning.  He says, “You can’t touch me because I have the sword of the Lord.” Isn’t it amazing what we learn from children? He gives it to me and tells me that I need it. I believe it and I receive it with open arms. He doesn’t know it but he prepared me for my week. He reminded me that I must be ready for anything life throws my way and nothing can touch my joy or purpose because with or without an actual sword, I am covered by His words. I am fully armed in the presence of God.

The blessing and favor of God is not a season we walk through but a position we live in.”

-Pastor Aram

Many of you may know the story in Luke 5 where Simon (whom later becomes Peter) has finished his days work fishing and is approached by Jesus. After a long day, Jesus gives them some words of wisdom and asks him to cast out his net. He proceeds in doing so and catches so many fish that he has to fill the other boat as well. Simon made himself available to listen and follow this request, he was obedient in the action, and he was completely connected to Jesus to receive the word and was blessed to become a blessing. These are the three keys to provision that Pastor Aram spoke of today in service: Make yourself available, be obedient to His word, and have a connection with Jesus.

As I strengthen my relationship with Christ daily, I am constantly looking for ways to hear Him in my life. Maybe I won't physically hear Him, but He is everywhere I go. The Holy Spirit will whisper a quiet yes when our flesh says no and the more we quiet the world, the more available we become to hearing His word directly. Psalm 1:1-3 says, Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; 2 but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night.3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.

We have to be careful who we listen to! It is important that everything we receive lines up with His Word. When we do this we are promised to be fruitful in every season of our life. We may walk through crisis but we will always come through it because of The One who is leading us. Don’t you want to become a magnet for the blessing and favor of The Lord? Don’t you want to shine so bright that the people you come into contact with are directed in the ways of the Lord as well?

I once had a nonbeliever approach me and thank me for being the kind of christian she liked. What does that even mean? It was in that moment that I just took a deep breath and thanked God for allowing me to be that for her. We never spoke about religion nor did I ever try to save her. I simply lived my life with joy, love, and grace and gave constant glory to God when complimented. It is He who lives in me that people should see. It is He who works through me that deserves constant praise. It is He who saves. It is He I live for every single day.

My connection to Jesus allows me to grow. With a poor connection on a cell phone the person on the other line cannot hear clearly and sometimes the connection is even lost. We must always be in range of God to receive His word and speak His blessing to others. We need to be so connected that we hear Him correctly and not mistake His desires or purpose for us for our own. We cannot play the game of telephone with God and just assume the things He wants from our life because it’s what our flesh desires. Sometimes it means working all day and all night and sacrificing a little extra time to listen and learn from God and move in obedient direction to receive what He has. Sometimes it means not doing what we want but doing what He wants.

Everything comes through proper connection. When we connect to Him our purpose becomes alive and everything we need will be provided to us. Are we connected close enough to Jesus to hear His teaching? Are we obedient enough to act upon His words and start with little to receive much? Are we available when He needs us and not just when we need Him?

Father,

I am ready to be positioned for provision. I am available to be obedient in Your word and remain connected to You. I thank You in advance for using me daily to please You. Place me where You need me and allow me to give constant Glory to Your name. Remind me that I have the sword of the Lord and when the enemy attacks that I am more than ready to defeat his ways. I have Victory and I am unashamed. It is well with my soul. Your love has made me whole.

In Jesus name,

Amen
