What Are You Running After?
June 28, 2026 Speaker: Aram Mushegan Series: Back To Church
Passage: 1 Corinthians 9:24–27, 1 Corinthians 3:10–13, Luke 12:15–21, Ecclesiastes 2:11
In this message from Pastor Aram Mushegan of Activation Church (Dallas, GA), we are confronted with one of life’s most important questions: What are you really running after?
The Apostle Paul writes:
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it.” — 1 Corinthians 9:24–27
Paul warns that it is possible to be disciplined, active, and even successful—and still miss the point if the prize is wrong.
Because the real issue is not whether you are running… but what you are running after.
We see in 1 Corinthians 3:10–13 that our lives are being built on a foundation, and one day everything we build will be tested. It won’t be about appearance—it will be about what lasts.
Jesus says in Luke 12:15–21 that life does not consist in the abundance of possessions. The rich man built bigger, planned further, and gained more—but missed what truly mattered.
And in Ecclesiastes 2:11, Solomon reflects on a life of success that ultimately felt like “a chasing after the wind.”
This message will challenge you to examine your direction, your values, and your true prize.
