To touch Jesus is to be made complete.
Matthew 9:20-22 // And, behold, a woman, which was diseased with an issue of blood twelve years, came behind him, and TOUCHED the hem of his garment:For she said within herself, If I may but TOUCH his garment, I shall be whole. When we read this story we get a glimpse into the desperation and misery of this woman as she struggles to TOUCH Jesus. For twelve years this woman lived in total disarray. Her ailment kept her in a constant state of pain and suffering. In Mark 5:25-34 we read her sickness had taken her to the point of bankruptcy. Mark describes her problem as a "fountain of blood", sounds pretty devastating. Though she had been, as Jesus puts it, "plagued"(Mark 5:34), impoverished and rendered legally unclean by society, she set her heart to one purpose. To TOUCH Jesus. Pressing through the physical pain and horde of people, she stretches out her hand to grasp the border of His garment. In that moment of desperation she encounters Jesus and immediately receives healing. Paul wrote in Philippians 4:19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus. We are going to go beyond the common ordinary mundane experience of life and press through our complications, dilemmas and headaches to grab onto the garment of Jesus. To touch Jesus, is to be made complete. Let's touch Jesus this Sunday, no matter what.
